ASP Regulatory Refresher

Essential Energy is pleased to offer annual re-assessment training for Accredited Service Providers. This course aligns with National Refresher Units of Competency and is offered to eligible qualified and non-qualified Electrical Supply Industry workers.
Introduction:
This training supports the need for national mobility of the ESI workforce and provides a standardised approach for workers to gain and maintain approval to work on or near electrical supply industry networks.
DURATION
1 day (8:00 am - 4:00 pm)
LOCATION
Essential Energy has purpose built training facilities across it's network. Specific workshop location information is available in the session information section below.
FEES (inc venue and materials)
1. $500 per participant for full course or
2. $200 for Electrical Safety Rules
- Add $180 for First Aid, CPR, LV Rescue, Pole top Rescue and Testing of connections
- Add $120 for EWP rescue and escape
Note; for EWP assessment, participants must provide a suitable EWP, compliant with current standards.
PAYMENT
Invoices will be sent to participants after completion of the course.

Participants are required to bring their ID, a pen and personal protective equipment to the course:
To become and remain Authorised to work on the Essential Energy network, accredited service providers (ASPs) must be re-assessed annually. This training allows you to provide that evidence.
To confirm your ASP Level and Category email: Authorisations. For your expected level of refresher please refer to the Unit Matrix.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be received five working days prior to workshop or applicable charges may apply.
Essential Energy reserves the right to reschedule any course if insufficient enrolments are received. Workshops may be cancelled up to 4 weeks prior. Should this occur, participants will be notified. Essential Energy will not be held liable for any claims arising from course cancellation.

- Students must have their own smart device to access the online workshop.
- Work clothes, work boots,safety helmet (less than 2 years old), high visibility clothing or vest.
- No open shoes are permitted.
- Harness and work gloves if completing EWP units.

Participants undertaking this course must be able to demonstrate that, within three years of the proposed assessment date, previous assessment have been completed with either:

Learning Outcomes:
- On completion of this workshop you will be able to satisfactorily demonstrate currency of Nationally recognised Refresher Units.
Learning Methods:
- This workshop is for Refresher assessment only.
- Refresher consists of a combination of online assessments for your selected units of competency and a webinar session to supervise the Electrical Safety Rules assessment.
Program Benefits:
- Following successful completion of the annual refresher training and assessment, participants can be issued a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment (SoA). This will be issued via post.

- Apply ESI Safety Rules, Codes of Practice and procedures for Work on or Near Electrical Apparatus
- Perform CPR
- Provide first Aid in an ESI Environment
- Perform Pole Top Rescue
- Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel
- Testing of Connections to Low Voltage Electricity Networks
- Perform EWP Controlled Descent Escape
- Perform EWP Rescue
