ASP Regulatory Refresher (Online)

Essential Energy has ceased all face-to-face training until the risks posed by COVID-19 have passed. This online workshop has been created to support re-authorisation of ASP's.
A Statement of Attainment will be issued for UETTDRRF01 - Safety Rules only.

Introduction:

This course is currently delivered online for theoretical content only.  Assessment outcomes form part of authorisation however Statements of Attainment listing only Safety Rules Unit of Competency will be issued.


DURATION
8:00 am - 1:00 pm for online delivery

FEES (inc venue and materials)
$200 for Electrical Safety Rules (core unit)
  • Add $180 for First Aid, CPR, LV Rescue, Pole top Rescue and Testing of connections
  • Add $120 for EWP rescue and escape
You will be invoiced on completion of training depending on your unit selection.

AUTHORISATION
To become and remain Authorised to work on the Essential Energy network, accredited service providers (ASPs) must be re-assessed annually.
To confirm your ASP Level and Category email:  Authorisations. For your expected level of refresher please refer to the Unit Matrix.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be received five working days prior to workshop or applicable charges may apply. Essential Energy reserves the right to reschedule any course if insufficient enrolments are received.
Workshops may be cancelled up to 4 weeks prior. Should this occur, participants will be notified. Essential Energy will not be held liable for any claims arising from course cancellation.

Target Audience:

Participants undertaking this course must be able to demonstrate that, within three years of the proposed assessment date, previous assessment have been completed with either:
  • Essential Energy
  • An Essential Energy approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO); or
  • Been previously issued National Refresher Units by another RTO
Note; If participants have attended this course with another RTO, transcripts must be supplied.

Participants undertaking this course must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number.

Learning Outcomes:

  • On completion of this workshop you will be able to satisfactorily demonstrate currency of your ESI Refresher Units.

Learning Methods:

  • This workshop is for Refresher assessment only.
  • Refresher consists of a combination of online assessments for your selected units of competency and a webinar session to supervise the Electrical Safety Rules assessment.

Program Benefits:

  • Following successful completion of the annual refresher training and assessment, participants can be issued a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment (SoA). This will be issued via post.

Content:

  • Apply ESI Safety Rules, Codes of Practice and procedures for Work on or Near Electrical Apparatus
  • Perform CPR
  • Provide first Aid in an ESI Environment
  • Perform Pole Top Rescue
  • Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel
  • Testing of Connections to Low Voltage Electricity Networks
  • Perform EWP Controlled Descent Escape
  • Perform EWP Rescue
